Blues Trio · Complete

The finished blues trio from a zine that builds a 12-bar blues one instrument at a time. Two choruses: the first with held organ chords, the second with a quick change (A D A A), organ stabs on the shuffle and soft held pads underneath, then a final hit on A. Drums, a walking bass (Bass + Plucked) and a homemade Hammond organ with a Leslie swirl, arranged in ATMOSYNTH's Arranger. 96 BPM.

Blues Trio · 6 · Twelve bars

Stage 6 of a 12-bar blues built one instrument at a time. The whole trio from stage 5, now arranged into the full twelve-bar blues: three lines of four bars (A A A A · D D A A · E D A E) with a walking bass, organ chords and a turnaround that rolls into the next chorus. Each line is a pattern; the Arranger plays them in order. 96 BPM.

Blues Trio · 5 · Leslie

Stage 5 of a 12-bar blues built one instrument at a time. The organ from stage 4 through a homemade Leslie (a spinning speaker): a Tremolo pulses the volume, a Chorus adds shimmer, and a Pan moved by an LFO swirls it left and right. Best on headphones. 96 BPM.
